Advance Passenger Information
This applies to passengers travelling to the USA, Caribbean, Canada, Spain & India. Other countries may add this requirement and we shall advise you if this information is required from you.Advance Passenger Information (API) is information about passengers required prior to travel. Following the events of 11th September, 2001, security has been increased and there is now an additional focus on airlines to supply more information about passengers. This allows the relevant Authorities to make checks to identify anyone who may be a potential threat. All airlines already obtain information from machine-readable passports and supply this to the Customs & Border Protection Agency.
Due to additional regulatory and legislative requirements, from 4 October 2005, there will be a need to collect more Advance Passenger Information that we'll then need to transmit to the relevant airline who will forward to the Customs and Border Protection Agency before your flight departs.
You need to supply us with the following:
- Full name;
- Date of birth;
- Gender;
- Country of residence;
- Travel document type (normally passport and alien/permanent residence card if applicable);
- Document number;
- Document expiry date;
- Citizenship;
- Address where you will be staying in your destination.
Further to the above information, we shall require a clear copy of your passport photo page to be sent to us as soon as possible prior to your departure.
Also, in the event that the cardholder is not a named passenger on the booking, we shall require to see a clear copy of the front and back of the credit card used for the payment of the travel arrangements. Additional evidence may be requested by your travel consultant (such as utility bill / bank statement or other) in order to verify the cardholder details.
